Use this guide if you're not sure which code to use when activating a Materialise ID-based license.
An Activation ID is required when activating an ID-based license, whether on a PC or on a Floating License Server.
What an Activation ID looks like
An Activation ID is a 32-character code, formatted as eight groups of four characters:
abcd-ef01-2345-6789-abcd-ef01-2345-6789You normally receive the Activation ID by email when your license is issued.
Codes that are easy to confuse
- Entitlement ID — looks similar, but identifies a collection of one or more licenses. Don't use it when an Activation ID is requested.
- CCKEY — a 16-character code used with Classic Licensing. It cannot be used to activate an ID-based license.
Find or verify your Activation ID
If you don't have the original email, or aren't sure whether you have the right code:
- Find your ID-based license and Activation ID in the Materialise End-User Portal, or
- ask the person who manages Materialise licenses for your organization.
