What is CO-AM?

CO-AM is Materialise's software platform for managing additive manufacturing (AM) workflows and production data. It connects part data, build preparation, production work, and manufacturing information into a single shared environment, giving you better visibility, consistency, and traceability.

What CO-AM helps you do

Depending on your organization's setup, CO-AM can help you do the following:

  • Manage AM parts and related production data
  • Prepare and organize builds
  • Plan and follow up on production work
  • Monitor production progress
  • Connect AM tools, machines, and enterprise systems
  • Support quality, repeatability, and traceability

The features available to you depend on your organization's CO-AM offering, configuration, and your user permissions.

How CO-AM fits into AM production

AM production often involves many tools, files, people, and process steps. CO-AM connects these steps into a structured workflow—from part data and build preparation to production execution and follow-up.
CO-AM supports different AM environments, including flexible high-mix production, service bureau operations, and repeatable series production.

CO-AM and specialist AM tools

CO-AM does not replace every specialist AM tool. Instead, it connects tools, workflows, and production data so you can use the right software at each step. CO-AM integrates with Materialise software, partner tools, AM machines, and enterprise systems such as ERP, PLM, or MES.

Why your CO-AM may look different

Your CO-AM environment may look different from another user's. What you can see and do depends on your role, permissions, subscription, enabled workflows, and configured integrations. If you do not see a feature you expect, contact your CO-AM administrator or Materialise support.
